The Big Salad has elevated the art and science of the salad bar design to a new level. Associates create salad dishes with your direction. There is no more awkward ladling with plastic utensils. Starting out in Grosse Pointe Woods, Michigan, the concept was so successful that soon the company opened other eateries in Troy and Royal Oak. Having decided to offer franchises for the restaurant, the company’s owners are envisioning the addition of about 200 locations in the next decade.
When it came time to add exterior signage and menu displays, The Big Salad contacted Majestic Sign & Design. We did a site evaluation to get a good feel of the locale’s vibe and designed menu boards as well as illuminated channel letter signs for the eateries’ exteriors. In keeping with the restaurant’s whimsical designs, the building marker features a stylized salad bowl and the company’s name. Picking up on the graphics and typeface already in place, the menu boards offer removable slots for daily changing specials as well as custom-printed details on the sandwiches, salads and build-your-own dishes you might enjoy.
Restaurant menu signs Troy and Grosse Pointe, Michigan, customers are sure to remember, the printing is as informative as it is changeable. The eatery is not locked into displaying only its current dishes but rather has the opportunity to add and subtract as it grows, the seasons change and customer appetites demand expansions. If you are in the business of serving hungry customers, why not outfit your restaurant in the same manner?
Menu Boards
You have many options when you want to display the hot dishes that your customers love. Take a page from the playbook of The Big Salad, and let us print your customized menu boards for display. These boards may be hung above the register area, get prominently displayed in the foyer or may be suspended from the ceiling. If you opt for the latter display, we would print on both sides of the boards to allow your guests easy access to the information. For daily specials and eye-catching displays outside your restaurant, we can customize chalkboards and A-frame displays that highlight your changing meal options.
Illuminated Channel Letter Signs
The Big Salad chose a brightly colored front-lit channel letter sign. The advantage of this type of marker is the versatility of the color scheme. During the day, the boldly colored letter and logo fronts make it easy to see the sign and find your way to the front door of the venue. After dark, the lit up letters continue to add as beacons to hungry guests in search of sandwiches and salads.
When you operate an upscale restaurant that is only open for dinner service, choose halo-lit channel letters. This marker – when installed against the backdrop of a wall or monument sign’s surface – exudes sophistication and promises high-class dining. The lighting is soft and because the illumination actually comes from behind the letters, it has a somewhat ethereal quality. These are the illuminated channel letter signs Troy, MI’s, four and five-star restaurants prefer.
